Today marks the release of Card Wars, a new Adventure Time game for iOS. If you’re a fan of the TV show, you may recognize this game from the episode of the same name, in which the two main characters Finn and Jake engage in epic card-game battle. Next week a physical version of the card game will also be released, so you can defend your kingdom in both physical and virtual reality.

The app so far has been getting generally positive reviews. However, despite enjoying the gameplay, Kotaku reported that it was hard for them to become invested because of the inescapable in-app purchases. The game costs $3.99 up front, but there is an energy meter that, when depleted, requires that the player either wait for it to refill or pay 99 cents. Touch Arcade felt differently; they reported that the energy meter rarely interrupted their play and refilled quickly enough.

In any case, if you purchase this game for your Adventure Time-loving daughter or son, you might want to make sure you’ve got your in-app purchases disabled. You can read more about microtransactions by clicking here.

And yes, in case you were wondering, you can floop the pig.
